Add Your Music Folder (First Time)
Open Vibo Scanner and sign in with the same account you use for Vibo.
Click Add Folder → select the top‑level folder that stores your music.
Hit Scan and wait for the “Scan Complete” banner.
Large libraries can take a few minutes; keep the window open.
Rescan Whenever You Add Tracks
Vibo Scanner doesn’t monitor your drive continuously.
Any time you:
import new music
rename a track
move songs to a new (and unscanned) folder
Do:
Re‐open Scanner → select the same folder → click Scan again.
Alternatively, you can use the 'Reset and Scan' option from the dropdown menu near the scan button to reinitialize the process and ensure all tracks are detected correctly.
Manage Folders & Devices
Rename or Remove a Folder
Hover over the folder name in Scanner.
Rename: type a new name and wait for the “Name Saved” popup.
Remove: click the trash‑can icon → Delete.
Add / Rename a Computer (Device)
Log in to the Vibo scanner on the computer you want to register.
Add a folder and run a scan—the device is saved automatically.
To rename the computer, hover the device name (top‑left), type, and wait for the save popup (no Enter needed).
Delete a Device
Unfortunately you can't delete devices at the moment.
Multi‑OP Workflow on a Shared Laptop
Each DJ account must complete its own scan.
⚠️ Sharing one user’s scan with another creates duplicate weddings and mismatched libraries.
Quick solve for same-computer multi-op companies: Log out → sign in as DJ #2 → Scan → repeat for DJ #3.
Supported File Types
Vibo Scanner recognises and matches the five most-common DJ audio formats:
MP3 (.mp3)
WAV (.wav)
AIFF (.aiff / .aif)
FLAC (.flac)
ALAC (.m4a – Apple Lossless)
Add these tracks to any scanned folder and they’ll appear in Prep Mode once the scan finishes.
Scanner Shows "No Matches" in Prep Mode After Setting Up a New Computer
If you recently got a new computer and your sections show "No matches" in Prep Mode, the most common reason is a device mismatch. Here's what's happening and how to fix it.
Why this happens
Vibo Scanner registers each computer as a separate device. When you set up Scanner on a new computer, it creates a new device entry — even if your music files were migrated from your old machine. Your previous scan data is still linked to your old device, not the new one.
How to fix it
To set up Scanner on your new computer and get your matches working, follow these steps:
Open Vibo Scanner on your new computer.
Give it a recognizable nickname (e.g., "New MacBook Pro 2026") so you can identify it later.
Click "Add Folder" and navigate to the folder where your music is stored on this computer. Common locations include Users > YourName > Music > Music on Mac, or C:\Users\YourName\Music on Windows. If you use iTunes or Apple Music, also add Users > YourName > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Music.
Click "Scan." This may take a while depending on how many songs you have — 50,000+ songs can take 10–20 minutes.
Once the scan completes, go back to Prep Mode on the web app (web.vibodj.com).
Click the "Device" selector near the top-right of the page, next to "Download playlist."
Select your new computer from the list and click "Save."
Your matches should now appear.
Does my old scan data transfer to the new computer?
No. Even if you migrated all your files from your old Mac, Scanner needs to re-index them on the new device. The old scan data does not transfer automatically. You must run a full scan on the new computer for matches to appear.
Do I need to delete my old device?
No. You can keep multiple devices and switch between them in Prep Mode anytime. If you no longer use the old computer, you can simply ignore it in the device list.
I used Migration Assistant — should I double-check anything?
Yes. Double-check that the folder path shown in Scanner actually contains your music files. Sometimes the path looks the same after migration, but the files ended up in a different location on the new computer.
FAQ
I migrated everything from my old Mac using Migration Assistant. Why do I still need to rescan?
Scanner indexes are tied to the specific device, not just the file paths. Even if the files are identical, the new computer is a new device and needs its own scan.
"Reset and Rescan" didn't fix it. Why?
Reset and Rescan clears the scan data for the current device and re-indexes. If your current device is the new computer and the correct music folder wasn't added first, there's nothing to index. Make sure you've added the correct folder path using "Add Folder" before scanning.
Can I use Scanner on more than one computer?
Yes. Each computer registers as its own device. You can scan on multiple computers and switch between them in Prep Mode using the "Device" selector. Just make sure each computer has its own music folder added and scanned.
