If the Vibo Scanner isn’t scanning your music folders on Mac (for example, clicking Add Folder does nothing), the issue is usually related to Mac privacy permissions.
Why this happens:
macOS requires apps to be granted permission to access your Files & Folders.
After a macOS update, these permissions may reset automatically.
If Vibo Scanner doesn’t have access, it won’t be able to read your music folders.
How to fix it:
On your Mac, go to:
Apple Menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders.Find Vibo Scanner in the list.
Make sure the following are enabled:
Documents Folder
Restart Vibo Scanner and try scanning again.
Supported file formats:
Vibo Scanner supports MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and ALAC. Other formats will not be recognized.
📌 Tip: If you recently updated macOS and your scanner stopped working, check these settings first!
