If you can log into Vibo on the web but the desktop Scanner app won't accept your password, keeps spinning, or loops back to the login screen, this is almost always a sync issue between your web account and the Scanner — most often caused by using Google or Apple sign-in.
Here's how to fix it
Log out of both the Scanner app and Vibo on the web (go to web.vibodj.com/settings and click Log Out).
On the login screen, enter your email address and click Next.
On the following screen, tap Forgot Password, then follow the reset link in your email to set a new password.
Log back into both Vibo web and the Scanner app using your email and new password.
Do not use "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple" for now. Use email and password until the Scanner is working again.
💡 If you only ever signed in with Google or Apple, using Forgot Password will set an email password for the same account — your events and data stay the same.
After these steps, the Scanner should log in normally. If it still won't log in, contact support through the chat and let us know you've already tried the sync fix, and we'll take it from there.
FAQ
Why does Vibo web work but the Scanner doesn't?
The web and the Scanner sign in separately. Resetting your password and signing into both with email re-syncs them.
Do I have to stop using Google or Apple sign-in permanently?
No. Use email and password only until the Scanner logs in again. Once it's working, you can go back to your usual sign-in method.
The screen just spins on WiFi — is it my internet?
Usually not. A spinning Scanner login with a working web account is a login issue, not a network problem.
I see "User not found" on my Mac.
That means the Scanner is in Test Mode. Press ⌘ Cmd + ⌥ Option + P to return to Regular mode, then sign in again.
