Can I use Vibo Scanner with music stored in OneDrive (or another cloud drive)?

Updated this week

Short answer: Not directly. Vibo Scanner only sees files that live in a normal local or connected-external drive folders.

Why it doesn’t detect my OneDrive files?

Even when you mark OneDrive files as “Keep on this device,” Windows still treats the folder as a cloud location. Vibo Scanner can’t read that special structure, so the music is skipped.

Simple workaround

  1. Pick or make a regular local folder (for example, C:\ViboScan).

  2. Once a week or month:

    • Copy or move your new tracks from OneDrive into that folder.

    • Make sure the files are truly local (no cloud icon; real file size).

  3. Run Vibo Scanner on this local folder.

  4. After the scan finishes, delete the local copies if you need to free up space.

Keeping one always‑local “scan” folder and updating it regularly lets you continue managing your library in OneDrive while ensuring Vibo Scanner stays up to date.
