How can I upload a Custom Song/Track file?

This article covers practical workaround on how to share custom songs or DJ edits with your clients using Vibo.

Updated over a week ago

We understand that not every special track in your DJ library is available on commercial platforms like Spotify or Apple Music. Whether it's a custom mashup, DJ-only remix, rare track, or a recording from a local band, you might want your clients to be able to see these songs through Vibo.

While Vibo doesn't host audio files directly, there are two workarounds available.

βœ… Option 1: Upload to YouTube (Unlisted or Private)

One of the most flexible ways to include your unique tracks in Vibo is by uploading them to YouTube as videos. You can use a static image or black screen as the visual, and keep the video Unlisted (recommended) so that only those with the link can view it.

Once uploaded:

  • Copy the YouTube link.

  • Paste the link into the Timeline section in your Vibo event.

πŸ“ Note: Private YouTube links (where users must be added manually to view) may not work reliably. Use Unlisted instead for better compatibility and ease of access.

βœ… Option 2: Use External Links with Buttons

Another approach is to:

  • Host your songs externally (any file sharing or music hosting platform).

  • Create a button or link within your event using Vibo Pro features.

  • Direct users to that song preview/download page.

This method gives you full control over the branding and experience for your clients.

We are working on adding direct upload functionality in the future.
