Can I recover a deleted template?

Accidentally deleted a template? Here’s what happens, how it affects your events, and how you can quickly recreate it.

Updated over a month ago

Templates themselves cannot be directly restored once deleted.

However, if you recently created an event using that template, you can easily recreate it.

How to recreate the deleted template:

If you recently created an event using that template, you can:

  1. Open a recent event that was created with the deleted template.

  2. Click on the pencil icon on the top right corner of your event.

  3. Scroll down and click Save as Template.

  4. Rename it to match the original template name.

  5. Remove any event-specific client information if needed.

This will recreate a version that is nearly identical to the original template.

Will deleting a template affect active events?

If you accidentally delete a template, don’t worry — it will not affect events that were already created using that template.

What happens if I delete a template?

  • Events already assigned to that template will continue working normally.

  • Clients will not see any glitch or interruption in their planning.

  • Only the ability to create new events from that template is affected.

Important:

  • Deleting a template is different from deleting an event.

  • If an event is deleted, it can be restored.

  • Deleting a template does not delete people or active events.

In short, deleting a template is safe for your existing events. Your clients can continue planning without interruption, and you can easily recreate the template from a recent event if needed.
