How to leave an event (Hosts/Guests)

Step by step

You can leave any Vibo event you've been invited to. The Leave Event option only lives on the web version (web.vibodj.com) β€” the mobile app doesn't have it yet.

Steps:

  1. Open web.vibodj.com and sign in with the email you used to join the event.

  2. Click the event you want to leave.

  3. Open the People tab.

  4. Find your name in the list.

  5. Click Leave Event.

The event keeps running for everyone else. The DJ can still manage it normally, and the other hosts and guests are not affected.

What stays behind when you leave

Leaving an event does not remove what you contributed. Your songs and your answers to planning questions stay in the event after you leave, and the DJ and other hosts will still see them.

If you want your contributions removed, delete them yourself before you leave the event:

  • Hosts can delete songs they added and clear their answers to planning questions.

  • Guests can delete songs they added. Guests don't have access to planning questions, so there's nothing else to clear.

The order matters: delete your input first, then leave the event.

Who is notified when you leave

By default, when a host or guest leaves an event, Vibo sends a notification to the DJ assigned to the event.

The DJ controls these notification settings on their end and can change who gets notified, including other hostss or guests.
If event privacy is part of why you want to leave, kindly reach out to the DJ to manage these settings for you.

Frequently Asked

Can guests leave an event the same way as hosts?

Yes. The same web steps work for both roles: open the event on web.vibodj.com, go to the People tab, and click Leave Event.

My DJ already deleted the event. Do I still need to leave it?

Probably not. If the event is gone, the host or guest is already disconnected from it. If the event still appears in the event list, message the Vibo team in chat to take a look.

What happens to my songs if I delete my account?

Songs added to events stay in those events unless they are deleted manually before account deletion. To remove contributions completely, delete them in each event before requesting account deletion.
